Dirty Dozen Business Card

February 12, 2009

So in my search for a truly organic skin care product I discovered National Geographic’s Green Guide website and the “Dirty Dozen Chemicals in Cosmetics” article. Always the designer, I had to create a convenient business card to carry with me that listed what these chemicals were and the names that disguised them.  I have provided a print quality PDF of this business card for download via ‘Box’ on the right hand side of my website.

Turns out I won’t need this much seeing as how I buy all my skin care products from miessence now but I wanted to pass it on for everyone else. This is one of the big things that turned me on to miessence – it’s the only product I could find that didn’t have any of these ingredients. It’s downright scary actually… chances are if you shop with this card you won’t end up purchasing anything.  I would suggest reading the full article to find out more.

Feel free to suggest any ideas for organic shopping resource type thingies – I am as passionate about design as I am about organics. You can email me here.

So I haven’t brought myself to spend the money on any reusable non-plastic grocery bags yet because I’ve been waiting to find the perfect one – fun, cool, and convenient. Today I found it:

Greenaid

The Greenaid [sold by the A+R Store, which is also quite an exciting find].

Greenaid Bag

Each “Greenaid” holds one bag.  A tad pricey at $16… but if they are strong and they last I think it’s worth it for the sheer coolness and ingenuity of the design. I plan on purchasing a few sometime soon. I can’t wait to walk into Hyvee with 3 or 4 neoprene grenades clipped to my belt.
